Roger brings over 35 years of experience in both the construction management and design/build field to Stenbak Design Associates.
After graduating from Olympic College of Engineering, Bremerton, WA in 1967 with an Associates Degree, Roger joined the Peace Corps and put his education to work in Iran as an Engineering Advisor. Following his service with the Peace Corps, Roger went on to attend the University of Washington, College of Architecture, and Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA, where he earned a BS Degree in Environmental Design in 1973.
Upon graduation, Roger joined Anvil Corporation in Bellingham, WA as a Project Manager & Architectural Designer. During his three years there Roger managed a staff of five designers. His work at Anvil Corporation, which provided design/build services for industrial clients throughout the Northwest and Alaska, helped to set a foundation of knowledge for Roger in the practice of design/build architecture and engineering.
In 1978, Roger headed east, where he took a position as Project Manager/VP at Labrie Construction Company, Inc., Merrimack, NH. While there, he managed multiple projects throughout Southern, NH with primary emphasis on design/build construction. He also provided architectural design and professional engineering coordination on numerous projects, including churches, medical professional buildings, industrial storage buildings, elementary schools, and manufacturing facilities.
With all this experience, Roger founded, what is now known as Stenbak Design Associates, Inc. in 1990. As President and Owner, Roger's efforts focus on business development, construction management, design oversight, owner negotiations, and general business management of a staff of 10 individuals, both in the office and out in the field.
